Public told not to attend APEC fireworks.
FIREWORKS over Sydney Harbour will mark the closure of APEC but the public have been told not to attend.
Tall ships also will grace the harbour for the display named “River of Fire” but organisers moved today to ensure that it was staged for VIP eyes only, citing the security crackdown.
Ms Fulwood said the concert and fireworks were designed to “show our guests from the Asia-Pacific a celebration of a confident nation rejoicing and proud of a wealth of talented performers”.
"a celebration of a confident nation rejoicing" ... with just about every paid-up member of that confident nation advised to do their rejoicing well out of sight, way down at the back of the bus.
Good to see that the terrorists haven't won.
